March 17, 1904 --- December 12, 1989

Funeral services for Helen Consoer, 85, Humboldt, were held Friday, Dec. 15, 1989 at Bruce Memorial chapel, Fort Dodge. Rev. David J. Johnson, pastor of the Congregational United Church of Christ, Humboldt, conducted the 2:00 pm service. Interment was held in Memorial Park Cemetery, Humboldt. Mrs. Consoer passed away Tuesday morning, Dec. 12 at Trinity Regional Hospital, Fort Dodge.

During the service Mrs. Jill Burr sang, "Rock Of Ages" and "His Eye Is On The Sparrow" accompanied by William Verbrugge. Bearers were Larry Lubinus, Bill Myers, Steve Will, Gary Johnson, Richard Blacker and Eldred Schutt.

M. Helen Billings was born on Thursday, March 17, 1904 at Lehigh. She was the daughter of Victor and Hester (Thomas) Billings. Helen attended the Lehigh schools, In 1943 Helen married Carlyle (Jack) Fischer. The couple farmed in the Woolstock area until 1962 when Mr Fisher passed away. Helen moved to Fort Dodge where she worked in the cafeteria at Trinity Regional Hospital for six years. She retired in 1969. In 1973 Helen married Ralph Consoer. The couple made their home in Humboldt. Helen was a member of the Congregational United Church of Christ, Humboldt, and Aurora Chapter 311, Order of the Eastern Star, Fort Dodge.
