A memorial service for Paul Charles Johnson, Eagle Grove, were held Wednesday Jan. 4, 1989 at the United Methodist Church, Pilot Mound. Rev. Ken Ferguson conducted the 10:30 am service. The body was donated to the University of Iowa Medical School and interment will be held later. Mr. Johnson passed away of a heart ailment Friday, Dec. 30 at Trinity Regional Hospital, Fort Dodge. During the service Mr. Lowell Swanson sang, "My God and I" accompanied by Mrs .David Sebring.

Paul Charles Johnson was born on Tuesday, April 19, 1904 in Dallas County. He was the son of Dr. Charles and Blanche (Bryan) Johnson. On Wednesday, June 16, 1926 Paul married Thelma Bailey at Waukee. The couple had lived in Pilot Mound before moving to Waukee about 37 years ago. Paul was a retired farmer. Survivors include his wife, a resident of Rotary Ann Nursing Home, Eagle Grove; son Frank Johnson, Kingwood, TX; daughters, Barbara Bailey, Redfield; Emily Anderson, Rolfe; nine grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
