Brief mention was made last week of the sudden death of Mrs. Addie Sayre, due to bronchial pneumonia. Funeral services were held on Thursday at the St. John's Catholic church, being in charge of Rev. J. O'Donnell. Interment was made in Rose Hill cemetery at Eagle Grove.

Addle Ellen Sayre was born on May 14, 1863, at Brownville, N. Y., being 68 years of age at last birthday. When a child 3 years of age her parents located near Humboldt, Iowa. At the age of 18, she was united in marriage to Frank Sayre on July 4, 1881. To this union three children were born, Earl Sayre and Mrs. Ed Burke of Clarion, one child being deceased. One brother also survives, B. W. Harvey of Villa Grove, Ill., who was in attendance at the funeral. Another brother, Burr, preceded his sister.

The family made their home at Eagle Grove for twenty years, having spent the past fifteen years in and near Clarion. Mr. Sayre passed away two years ago last August. For the past year Mrs. Sayre had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Ed Burke in Clarion, where she passed away on Nov. 30.
