SERVICES THIS THURSDAY FOR BEN FORRETT, 83

Funeral services are being held this Thursday forenoon for Ben Forrett, 83, with funeral mass and burial at St. Patrick’s church in Dougherty, at 11:00 a.m. Mr. Forrett passed away in Clarion August 16, 1966

Ben Forrett was born August 12, 1883 in Jackson County, Iowa, the son of Peter and Barbara (Otley) Forrett. He moved to Dougherty at the age of 13, and to Clarion in 1948 where he has made his home with his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Virg. Brady. He was married in Nebraska to Lydia Gratheus on June 20, 1913. Surviving are three children; Mrs. J. V. (Lila) Brady of Clarion; Loras Forrett of Mason City; and Mrs. J. J. (Lorraine) Cannella of Mason City. There are also nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two sisters. His grandchildren are Dan Brady of Dubuque, Dick Brady of Des Moines, Joann Voss of Eagle Grove, Linda Brady of New York, Laurie Brady of Clarion, and the four Cannella children of Mason City.
