Harriet I. Heffington died at the Clarion Care Center on Wednesday afternoon, February 4, 1981 at the age of 82. She had made her home at the care center for the past two years. Funeral services were held from the Chapel of the Eyler-Willim Funeral Home on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. Burial was in Blairsburg at the local cemetery. Rev. George M. Keebler officiated. Bearers were Kent Heffington, Lowell Jensen, Roger Stoufer and Ed Oard.

Harriet was born at Blairsburg on June 4, 1898 and was the daughter of Robert and Viola Loban. She grew to womanhood in the area of her birth and was married to Myrle L. Heffington in 1923 at Blairsburg. They farmed in that area and at Northwood. In 1965 they retired to Clarion and he died in 1965. She was also preceded in death by her son, Kenneth in 1964, her parents, 3 brothers and two sisters. She is survived by a grandson, Kent Heffington and his mother. Hazel Jensen both of Andover, Minn. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
