January 22, 1886 ---- August 29, 1922

Ellsworth Hazelwood, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Hazelwood, was born at Colfax, McLean County, Illinois, on January 22, 1886, and died at Taopi, Minn., on August 29, 1922, aged 36 years, 7 months and 7 days. At the age of five years he came to Iowa with the family, locating at Goldfield. They later moved to the farm northeast of Renwick known as their home place. In 1910 his parents moved to Renwick, which has since been his home, living with his mother. Not being eligible for the early draft he offered his services in The Home Guards of the State of Minnesota. In July of this year he went to Taopi, Minn.
