Services Held for Fred Gordon, 59

Services were held Tuesday for Fred Gordon, 59, Belmond, who died Saturday night, at the United Church of Christ in Belmond at 1:30 p. m. Mr. Gordon died of a stroke. Gordon competed in several state golf events and won the Iowa Amateur championship in 1947. He is survived by his wife, Mary; a son, Lee, of Cedar Falls, a daughter, Mrs. Vernon V. McLaughlin of Belmond, three brothers, Jack Gordon of Clarion, Howard of Moline, Ill., and George, Reseda, California.
