February 7, 1881 ---- January 13, 1919
Mrs. P. O. Peterson died at her home in this city Monday, January 13th, after a short siege of pneumonia. Mrs. Peterson had been in poor health for some time and when pneumonia set in, she did not have the vitality to combat this dread disease. The funeral services were held at the home Thursday afternoon with Rev. Severtson in charge. The burial was in Rose Hill cemetery.
OBITUARY
The deceased was born in Liverpool, England, in 1881. When she was a small child she came to America with her parents and when she was about 10 years of age came to Iowa. In 1901 she was united in marriage with P. O. Peterson of this city. To this union five children were born. The oldest is a girl of sixteen and the youngest is two years of age.
Besides the husband and five children, Mrs. Peterson is survived by her brother, George E. Wood of Dodge Center, Kansas, her sister, Mrs. Emery Eittreim of Eagle Grove, Mrs. Mary Bacon of Alliance, Neb., a sister, and her mother and sister, Mrs. Hanson and Mrs. Andrew Mehus of Omaha. All were present at the funeral except Mrs. Bacon who was unable to attend on account of sickness in her own family. The sympathy of the many friends of Mr. Peterson and his motherless little children is extended in the hour of their greatest sorrow.
