Peter O. Peterson, 82, Marcus, died in a Le Mars hospital Wednesday morning after a long illness. Mr. Peterson, a former Eagle Grove resident, had lived at Marcus since 1934.
Funeral services for him are to be conducted at Marcus Friday, Nelson funeral home there is in charge of arrangements. Interment will be in Rose Hill cemetery here at 3:30 pm Friday.
Survivors include three daughters Mrs. Tom Pettit; Mrs. John Grothaus; Mrs. Darwin Rogers and two sons M. C. and Orville Peterson.

Peter O. Peterson, 82, of Marcus, died early Wednesday morning February 13 at Marcus following a lingering illness. Mr. Peterson was born in Norway and had lived in the Marcus community since 1934. He was a retired carpenter. He is survived by three daughters. Mrs. Tom Pettet of Sioux City, Mrs. John Grothaus of LeMars and Mrs. Darwin Rogers of Omaha; two sons, M. C. Peterson of Long Beach and Orville L. Peterson of Mansfield. Wash. One sister, Mrs, Audrey Mehus and one brother, Knute Hanson, both of Omaha are other survivors.
Funeral services are to be Friday, February 15 at 10:30 a.m. from the Nazareth Lutheran Church, Marcus with the Rev. John Peterson officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove, with the Nelson Funeral Home of Marcus in charge.Cherokee Daily Times --- Cherokee, Iowa
