Alma Lee White, 77, Eastern Star Masonic Home, died December 26 at the Boone County Hospital. She had been a resident of the Home since November 30, 1971. She was born May 24, 1897 in Ames, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Brinton White. Her brother Norman, and she owned and operated White’s Dress Shop in Boone for many years She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, a 50-year member of the Magi Chapter 139 of the Order of Eastern Star and PEO. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister. She is survived by a brother Brinton White of Tucson, Arizona; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Norman White of Boone; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be Saturday, December 28 at 10 a.m. at the Eastern Star Masonic Home Chapel with the Reverend Loren Parmen officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Eagle Grove. Friends may call from 7 - 9 p.m. on Friday at the Stark Welin Chapel.
