Velva Bradley White

October 6, 1905 ---- August 29, 1927

Velva White died Monday in Chicago from pneumonia which followed an infection from an extracted tooth. The tooth had been removed on Saturday, August 20, a week previous. Miss White seemed to be getting along all right and her condition was not regarded as serious until Sunday morning when her mother, Mrs. B. F. White, was sent for. She arrived in Chicago Monday morning a few hours before her daughter's death. Her brother, Brinton White, is working in Chicago and returned with Mrs. White Wednesday.

The funeral will be held at the B. F. White home on South Commercial avenue this Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Burial will be in Rose Hill cemetery.

Miss White was graduated from the Eagle Grove high school with the class of 1923 and after attending Penn college at Oskaloosa she went to Chicago, where she contemplated entering college again this fall and do part time work outside.

The entire community mourns the untimely passing of this young lady. The future seemed to hold for her a life of continued usefulness and one can hardly realize that she has gone. The sincerest sympathy is extended the bereaved relatives and friends in the hour of their great sorrow.
