Mrs. Bertha Sandvig Funeral Held Monday

Funeral services were held for Mrs. Bertha Sandvig, 88, Monday afternoon at Thor Lutheran church, with the Rev. Owen Gangstad of Forest City officiating. Burial was in Norway Lake Cemetery near Thor. Mrs. Sandvig, a resident of the Thor community since a child, died Thursday at Rotary Ann Home at Eagle Grove where she had been making her home only recently. She is survived by three sons, Clifford, Thor; Stanley and Owen of Des Moines and four daughters, Mrs. Charles Ernst of Humboldt; Mrs. Leslie Stockdale of Goldfield; Mrs. Elmer Johnson of Keystone; Mrs. Kenneth Kohnke, Middleton, Colo; 18 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ole Sandvig in 1923.
