Funeral services for Mrs. Meinhardine Dornath, who died in her Thor home Sunday, June 10, will be held at the Thor Lutheran Church this Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. She was 83. Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Church cemetery in Lizard Township, Pocahontas County.
Meinhardine Zimmerman was born in Germany on Nov. 22,1900. She moved to the Palmer area in 1923 and married John Dornath on Feb. 17, 1924 at St. John's Church. The Dornaths farmed near Bradgate, Gilmore City and Thor before moving to Dodge Center, Minn., in 1955. Mr. Domath died in 1964 and Mrs. Dornath moved back to Thor where she spent the rest of her life. Surviving are a son Elven Dornath, Rutland; and daughters Mrs. Glenn (Vivian) Wergeland, Thor; Mrs. Jack (Minnie) Knudtson, Thor; and Mrs. Harold (Florence) Belverud, West Concord, Minn.; 13 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. Lindhart Funeral Home, Humboldt, is in charge of services.
