Former Resident Dies In Dodge Center, Minn.

Funeral services for a former Thor resident, John J. Dornath, 69, were held at Thor Lutheran church Saturday afternoon with burial in Lizard Creek Lutheran church cemetery near Palmer. Mr. Dornath died at his farm home near Dodge Center, Minn. Wednesday of a heart attack. Mr. Dornath was born in Germany and was married to Meinhardine Zimmerman of Palmer in 1924. Survivors include his widow, two sons, Meinhard of Eagle Grove, Alvin of Rutland; three daughters, Mrs. Russell Reidel of Dodge Center, Minn., Mrs. Jack Knudson and Mrs. Glenn Wergeland of Thor; also two brothers, George of Ft. Dodge and Lawrence of Otho; four sisters, Mrs. Trintje Ziegler of Iowa City, Mrs. Gerdt Petere, Gerd Habben of Humboldt. Eleven grandchildren also survive.
