Constance Field was born November 25, 1903, the daughter of Samuel and Rose Lovrien Field at Humboldt. She attended schools in Humboldt and Cedar Rapids. She was united in marriage to John Christopher of Eagle Grove, August 24, 1924, at Humboldt. They farmed near Thor until their retirement in 1946. The couple had moved from the farm into Thor, in 1942. In 1988, they moved to their present home in Eagle Grove. She was a member of the Ullensvang Lutheran Church, Thor, and the Rebecca Circle. Constance Christopher entered the Trinity Regional Hospital in Fort Dodge August 8, 1991, and died there September 13. She had attained the age of 87 years, nine months, and 18 days.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Eleanor Bonds. She is survived by her husband; a son, Richard, Thor; two sisters, Mrs. Richard (Jeannette) Rosenow, Fort Dodge; and Mrs. Elmer (Elizabeth) Theiss, Springdale, Ark.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 17 at the Ullensvang Lutheran Church in Thor. The Rev. Herbert Schiller officiated at the 1:30 p.m. services, and burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove. Kastler-Babcock Services, Eagle Grove, was in charge of arrangements
