May 12, 1904 ---- December 7, 1965

Mrs Hilda Malina Cleven was born May 12, 1904 at Lake Mills to Hans Olai and Martina Okland Storby. She was baptized the same year at the North Prairie Lutheran church at Lake Mills by Rev. Lee and was confirmed in 1918 by Rev. Malmin. She died at Lutheran hospital, Ft. Dodge on Tuesday, Dec. 7, after reaching the age of 61 years, 6 months and 25 days. She lived in the Lake Mills community until Aug. 30, 1928 when she was married to Daniel Cleven at Scarville by Rev. S. A. Fretheim. They lived at Blue Earth, Minn, for 3 years, at Bricelyn, Minn, for 3 years, at Lake Mills for 9 years, a short time at Sturgeon Bay, Wis., and 6 years at Ft. Dodge before moving to Eagle Grove in 1952. Shortly after that, she became a member of the Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran church. She has had Bright's disease since 1958 and in the fall of 1964 her health started to decline.

She was preceded in death by her parents. Those who mourn her departure are her husband, Daniel; 2 sons: Roger of Des Moines and Lloyd of Council Bluffs; a daughter Helen (Mrs. Larry Adams) of New Hampton; by 10 grandchildren; a brother, Selmer Storby of Maywood, Ill., 2 sisters. Pearl, Mrs. Mark Jensen of Gladstone, Ore. and Cora, Mrs. Alfred Moelk of Vinton besides many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 10 at 2:00 p.m. at Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran church Pastor H. W. Schiller with interment at Rose Hill Cemetery.
