Florence Irene Dahlberg was born Nov. 9, 1906 at Hardy, Humboldt County to Henry B. and Caroline Elizabeth Severson Ersland. She was baptized Dec. 9, 1906 at Trinity Lutheran church, Hardy and was confirmed Nov. 7, 1920 at Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran church by Rev. T. J. Severtson. She died at Lutheran hospital, Ft. Dodge Wednesday evening, Dec. 1, after reaching the age of 59 years and 22 days. On July 1, 1929 she was married to Wilhelm Hoken Dahlberg at Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran church by Rev. T. J. Severtson. She moved to Eagle Grove in 1916 and attended schools in Eagle Grove and St. Olaf college. After this she taught in rural schools in the Eagle Grove community. She has been a member of Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran church since Jan. 10, 1920. She was preceded in death by her parents and 3 sisters, Martha, Clara and Myrtle. Those who mourn her departure are her husband Wilhelm, a son William Jr , of Seattle, Wash., 2 daughters: Helen, Mrs. David Huseth of Enumclaw, Wash:, and Karen, Mrs. Norman Knudsen of Amery, Wisc.; by 6 grandchildren, a brother, Thomas Ersland, Sioux Falls, S.D.; 3 sisters, Mabel, Mrs. Anton Rasmussen, Eagle Grove, Bertha; Mrs. Charles Greenley, Florida and Jessie, Mrs Lawrence Mandsager of Hardy.

Funeral services were held Saturday Dec. 4 at 10 a. m. at Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran Church, Pastor H. W. Schiller with interment at Rose Hill Cemetery.
