Earl Ervin Feske was born Feb. 9, 1928 at Salem, S.D., the son of Daniel and Lydia Josephine (Hirsch) Feske. He graduated from Waterloo East high School before serving in the U.S. Army from January 1947-May 1948 in the Ft. Clayton Canal Zone, in Panama. On Feb. 14, 1957 he married Dorothy Stubbs at the Little Brown Church.in Nashua. He worked for Frigidaire as an Order and Warehouse Manager for 20 years. He was a member of the Eagle Grove Lions Club when it was active and a past member of the Marshalltown, Iowa Veteran of Foreign Wars.

Earl Feske died Thursday, May 18, 2000, at the Southfield Care Center in Webster City at the age of 72. Survivors include: his wife, Dorothy, of Eagle Grove; three children, Tawnia (Mrs. Larry) Tempel, of Kamrar; Kevin, of Eagle Grove; and Kenneth, of Ottumwa; five grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and seven step great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends. Memorial services were held Monday, May 22, 2000, at 1 p.m. at the Willim Funeral Home in Eagle Grove with the Rev. James Toillion officiating. Burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Eagle Grove. Willim Funeral Home in Eagle Grove was in charge of the arrangements.
