Edna Ruth Egemo, 85, of Humboldt, formerly of Eagle Grove died on Thursday. July 13, 2006, at the Humboldt Care Center South. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m on Monday, July 18, 2006 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Humboldt with the Rev. J. K. Raether officiating. Interment was in the Rose Hill Cemetery. She is survived by her children and their spouses Sharon and Jerry Bacon of Humboldt, Gary and Nancy Rosendahl, of Eagle Grove, grandchildren and their spouses Troy and Anne Rosendahl, of Spencer; Daniel and Rhonda Bacon of Spencer; Tricia Rosendahl, of Eagle Grove, Todd and Chris Rosendahl, of Nora Springs; and Michelle and Mike Odor, of Lakeville, Minn.; great-grandchildren: Blake Rosendahl, Mackenzie Rosendahl, and Ellie Jo Bacon; and her sister and brother-in-law, Geraldine and Glenn Anderson, of Fort Dodge. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Howard Egemo, and a brother, Leonard Rosendahl.

Edna Ruth Rosendahl was born on March 24, 1921, at Manson, the daughter of Henry and Elsie (Brodbeck) Rosendahl. As a child she moved with her family to Deer Creek where she attended Trinity Lutheran Parochial School and Deer Creek Township #5 country school. From the age of 12 Edna served as live-in domestic help for area families. She then became employed by Pepsi Company and Rosedale Creamery in Fort Dodge. On June 4, 1955, she married Howard Egemo at Deer Creek. The couple made their home in Eagle Grove where they were members of Mt. Calvary Church Howard Egemo passed away in 1994 and in 1995, Edna moved to Humboldt. She was an accomplished embroiderer and especially enjoyed supplying her grandchildren with cookies. She loved her family and enjoyed their visits. Funeral arrangements were handled by the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home in Humboldt.
