Arlene Phyllis Fitch was born on February 11, 1926, in Alden, Minnesota, the daughter of Ernest and Laurine (Thompson) Fitch. Arlene graduated from Vernon High School in 1943.

On September 27, 1946, Arlene was united in marriage to Harold Fitch at St. Paul Lutheran Church Parsonage in Renwick, Iowa. After their marriage they lived and farmed near Renwick their entire lives. She sold Amway for a number of years. Arlene enjoyed being a lifelong house wife. She also enjoyed gardening, coffee at the library on Wednesdays in recent years, raising animals in her younger years and later in life she took care of stray cats. Most of all, Arlene enjoyed spending time with her family.

Arlene Fitch, 90, of Renwick, died Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Trinity Regional Medical Center, Fort Dodge, Iowa.

She is survived by a daughter, Joan Cross of Humboldt; son, Allen and Susan Fitch of Holstein; grandchildren, Darlene Box and Kevin Dunbar, Donald Box and Dixie Miller all of Humboldt, Randy and Mindy Pedersen of Newell, Christa and Jason Thompson of Jesup, Steven and Ashley Fitch of Newell, Andrew and Amy Broesder of Johnston, Lanae and Aric Allen of Nevada; great-grandchildren, Keisha, Kolton, BreAnna, Brooklyn, Brewster, Hailey, Donovan, Austin, Nathan, Belle, Grace, Owen, Wyatt, Jackson and Brynlee; Great-great-grandchildren Sunshine and Finnley.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold on September 20, 2011 and her parents.
