Clyde W. “Butch” Thomas, 80, of Fort Dodge, went to his heavenly home on Monday, June 20, 2016. Services will be 11:00AM Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at the First Covenant Church in Fort Dodge with Rev. Craig Vote, minister of the Harcourt Covenant Church officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM until the time of services on Wednesday at the First Covenant Church in Fort Dodge. The Gunderson Funeral Home and Cremation Services are in charge of arrangements.

Clyde is survived by his wife, Kay; three children, Cathy (Dave) Harry currently at Manchester, Iowa, Linda (Dave) Cullison of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania and Michael Thomas of Orlando, Florida; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Clyde W. Thomas was born on August 20, 1935 at Fort Dodge to Catherine (Hock) and Lloyd Thomas. He was educated at Manson, graduating from high school in 1953. In 1955, Butch married Kay Allen, and they made their home at Badger, Eagle Grove, and finally for many years in Fort Dodge. Clyde was an electrician most of his working years, starting with Allen Electric in Eagle Grove, 23 years at Iowa Beef, Centralab, and retiring from Trinity Regional Hospital in 2005. Butch was active in bible studies at his home and in the United Evangelical Covenant Church at Harcourt in the Ministry of Helps.
