Margaret June Risdon was born June 22, 1924, in Goldfield, the daughter of Fred and Lucy Farmer Madison. At a very early age, she and her family moved to Marengo and she graduated with the Marengo High School class of 1942. She married C. Dale Risdon Oct. 30, 1942, at the Ohio Methodist parsonage, rural Ladora. The couple were married for 49 years. He died in 1992.
She was a wonderful, caring wife and mother who enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking and baking. She also enjoyed reading, composing poetry and letter writing. Visiting with family and friends was a favorite pastime. Most of all, she loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and looked forward to her visits and adventures with them.
She taught Sunday school in earlier years and shared her faith with Bible study and prayer time with the residents and staff at Rose Haven. She was cherished and loved and will be missed by all who knew her. She is now at home in Heaven and rejoicing in His presence.
The family extends a heartfelt thank-you to the staff at Rose Haven Nursing Home and Essence of Life Hospice for the kind and compassionate care that was provided to Mom during her time in their care.
