April 24, 1917 ---- October 27, 1995

Russell H. Van Sickle was born in Freemont, Illinois, to George and Carrie Heise Van Sickle. He was a former engineer for Chicago Northwestern Railroad for 36 years. He was a long-time member of the Masonic Lodge of Eagle Grove and also served in the Navy Seabees during World War II as a machinist mate. He and his wife, Pauline Creek Van Sickle, have been residents of Green Valley, Arizona, the last 17 years. Russell H. Van Sickle died in Green Valley, Arizona on October 27, 1995, after a lengthy illness. He is survived by his wife Pauline of Green Valley, Arizona; a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Olson of Eagle Grove; sons, Robert of Des Moines, Michael, of Eagle Grove, and Timothy of Green Valley, Arizona; 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Eileen Robinson of Stanhope, and a brother, Raleigh of Humboldt. Memorial services were held in Green Valley, Arizona, on Octqber 30, 1995; with remains being sent to Memorial Park Cemetery in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
