December 17, 1890 ---- October 17, 1918

The death of Miss Marie Maloney occurred at her home in this city last Thursday, after a few days struggle with pneumonia. The funeral services were held Saturday morning and the burial in Calvary cemetery. Rev. Father Nolan in charge.

Miss Maloney was 28 years of age last February [sic. December]. She was born in Sheldon, Iowa and educated in the schools at Sanborn. She moved here with her parents about ten years ago. Miss Maloney was a quiet, industrious and capable young lady and her relatives have the sincere sympathy of their friends in their sorrow. The deceased is survived by her father, who is at present in the government service at Rock Island, Ill., by her mother, Mrs. Lizzie Maloney, of this city, and her brother Earl Maloney, the city mail carrier on Route 3.
