April 17, 1867 ---- June 5, 1919

The death of Sgt. Thomas Maloney occurred at Saint Joseph's hospital at Omaha, Neb., June 5, 1919, fortified by the rights of the Catholic church. He was buried from his home in Eagle Grove [Calvary Cemetery], June 9th. His son, Earl Maloney, of this place and his brother Mike were with him during the last hours of his sickness.

Thomas F. Maloney was born April 17, 1867, at Princeton, N. J. He spent his boyhood days in Allamakee county, Iowa. He is survived by his wife, one son, Earl T. Maloney, five brothers and three sisters, several nieces and nephews. Those from out of town attending the funeral were his four brothers, John Maloney of Waukon, Iowa; M. J. Maloney of Chillacothe, Mo.; Dan and Jim Maloney, both of Baker, North Dakota; his sister, Mary Maloney, of Wheatland, Wyo.; and Will Gleason of Mason City, Ia., brother of Mrs. Maloney; and John Grady of Harpers Ferry, Iowa, nephew of Mrs. Maloney.

Thomas Maloney was a veteran of two wars, being a corporal in the Spanish-American war and a sargeant of home guards in the late war. May his soul rest in peace.
