May 6, 1922 --- April 25, 2016

Roland Reimann, age 93, of Arena, Wis., was released from his earthly bonds on April 25, 2016, at Greenway Manor in Spring Green, Wis. He was born to Karl Henry and Nellie May (Blowers) Reimann in Arena township on May 6, 1922. He graduated from Arena High School and subsequently began to farm with his father. He married Leona Baago on June 1, 1946. They celebrated 59 years of marriage before he lost her in 2005.

He farmed for a number of years at Arena and near Clarion, Iowa. Subsequently, he ran a small engine repair business, constructed and painted signs for the American Dairy Association, worked for the manufacturing component of McFarlands and finally in Wick agribuildings. When not working, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, snowmobiling with the Arena Ridgerunners, and building things, including the airboat that he used on the Wisconsin River. In his later years he was a member of "the round table" at Grandma Mary's.

He is survived by his sister, Rosemary Campbell; his children, Leah (Richard Melvin) Reimann, Gene (Deb) Reimann and Dwight (Kate) Reimann; his grandchildren, Rachel Oftedahl, Gino (Dione and Coltan Schumann) Reimann, Becky (Eric Palumbo) Reimann, and Kyle and Kevin Reimann; his sister-in-law, Joyce Reimann; a number of nieces and nephews, and other extended family. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Leona; his sister, Marie Anderson; and his brothers, Robert and William Reimann.

There will be a private graveside service at the Arena cemetery. A celebration of life is planned for 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2016, in BRISBANE HALL at GRANDMA MARY'S RESTAURANT, Arena. In lieu of flowers, memorials should be directed to the family. All funds will then be directed to the Village of Arena, specifically for maintenance of the Arena West Park and shelter. Roland and Leona fished there for their last time prior to Leona's death and the shelter is dedicated to her. The Richardson-Stafford Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
