February 18, 1862 --- April 28, 1916

William O. Royce was born at New Hartford, Butler county, Iowa, on February 18th, 1862 and died at Algona, April 28th, 1916. He was married to Miss Jessie M. Carder at Norfolk, Nebraska, August 5th, 1889. He is survived by his wife and three children, Mrs. Howard Wigham, Harry and Mary Royce. The remains were brought to Eagle Grove for interment, Monday afternoon and Rev. G. L. Hart conducted a short service at the grave.

Mr. Royce and family went to Algona about four years ago from Eagle Grove. He was well know here and all will extend heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family. Mrs. Royce is a sister of Mrs. McDonald and Mr. Chas. Carder of this city.
