Charles K. Bray Dies At Hospital After Short Illness
Burial Held Here

Funeral services for Charles K. Bray, 55, who died Sunday at Ellsworth Hospital after a four weeks illness following a major operation, were held yesterday afternoon, Wednesday, at the Wilbur Funeral Home at 2:30 o'clock, Rev. Dale E. Jessup officiated. Interment was made in Union Cemetery. (This is Hardin county)

Born in Waterloo December 18, 1889, the son of Joseph and Alice Bray, Mr. Bray was married to Pearl Rubendall at Clarion, October 20, 1901. The couple made their home for a time in Dows and moved here 20 years ago where he has been employed as foreman at Swift and Company.

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Paul Creagan and Mrs. Harry Hogeland of Waterloo, two sons, Lawrence Bray and Russell Bray, of Iowa Falls, five sisters, Mrs. Ruby Kern of Los Angeles, California, Mrs. Bessie Neely of San Francisco, California, Mrs. Cora Spears of Toledo, Iowa, Mrs. Clara Johnson of Michigan City, Indiana and Mrs. Marie Spencer of Columbus, Ohio; five brothers, W. H. Bray of London, Minnesota, Joseph Bray of Benton Harbor, Michigan, and Horace, Clarence and Grant Bray of Earl, Wisconsin. All of the children and his brother, Joseph, were at his bedside at the time of his death.
