Louisa E. was born to John and Elizabeth Greenlee, June 2, 1855. When she was 13 months old her parents moved from their home in Greenville, Tenn, to Iowa, making their home at Belle Plalne. On June 7, 1872, she was married to Cornelius Kithcart. In 1882 they moved to Eagle Grove which was their home until Mr. Kithcart died 19 years ago. Since then Mrs. Kithcart has made her home at Belle Plaine, Eagle Grove, and Algona, Ia.
To this union five children were born, Nora, who died in 1888, John who died in 1931, Jess and Homer of Belle Plaine, and Nellie Wickwire of Algona, Iowa.
Mrs. Kithcart has been in failing health for more than a year and last October came to Eagle Grove to be near her doctor, making her home with Mr. and Mrs. Charles Imboden, where she died June 3rd, reaching the age of 80 years and one day.
She leaves to mourn her death, besides the children, two sisters and one brother, Mrs. Ellen Hardsell of Belle Plaine, Mrs. Martha Stone of Clovis, New Mexico, and J. Mark Greenlee, Maywood, Ill. Also a host of friends where ever she made her home. She has been a member of the Church of God for a number of years.
Those attending the funeral from out-of-town were: Homer Kithcart, wife and daughter, Betty, Owen Rucker and wife, Richard Hunt, Mrs. Harry Hamilton and son, James Donavan, Mrs. Ellen Hartsell, all from Belle Plaine, Marion Rucker and wife of Gladstone; Mark Greenlee and wife of Maywood, Ill.; Mrs. B. M. Burlingame, daughter, Eunice, Hattie Burlingame, and Mrs. Clinton Decker, Algona.
