Jessie J. Newton was born on January 29, 1898 at Adel, Iowa, daughter of Henry and Frances Newton. She was educated at Anita. She was married to John H. Reynolds of Eagle Grove, at Eagle Grove, on Sept. 16, 1942. He preceded her in death in 1958.

She died at Trinity West Hospital, Fort Dodge, on October 25, at the age of 77 years, 8 months and 26 days. She is survived by two step-daughters: Mrs. Lloyd Varney, Los Angeles, Calif.; Mrs. David Shaw, Van Nuys, Calif., and one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Glenn Allen, Webster City. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; son, Glenn; brothers and three sisters.

Services were held at the Kastler-Babcock-De Young Funeral Home on October 28 with interment at Rose Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Howell Bischoff officiating.
