Joe Carson died in a hospital at Fort Dodge Tuesday following an operation for the relief of blood poisoning. Infection set in from a small pimple on his chin. It spread rapidly and he was taken to Fort Dodge for further treatment. For the past several months he had been switching in Chicago but when his condition became serious, he came home arriving last Wednesday.
Obituary
Joseph Dolliver Carson, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Carson of Kamrar, Iowa, died at a Fort Dodge hospital Tuesday afternoon. Mr. Carson was born in Kamrar, Iowa, Oct. 8, 1889. On Nov. 29, 1916, he was united in marriage to Miss Helen M. Fiala at St. Joseph, Missouri. To this union were born a son, Howard, and a daughter, Josephine. Mr. Carson moved to Eagle Grove about seven years ago and has made this his home since that time. He was employed by the Northwestern railroad until a few months ago when he went to work for the Chicago and Alton railroad.
Besides his wife and son and daughter, he leaves his father and mother and two brothers of Kamrar and one sister, Mrs. Arch Nees, of Canada.
The funeral will be from the home at 612 North Cadwell avenue at 1:45 and from the Congregational church at 2:00 p. m. Friday. The burial will be in Rose Hill cemetery.
