Word was received Tuesday of the death of Elling O. Weeks at his home in Los Angeles, Calif. Mr. Weeks had been an invalid for some years having suffered a stroke several years ago in which he lost his speech. For many years he was in the automobile and garage business in Eagle Grove and was an early day airplane pilot. Elllng began flying about 1909 and later, built an airplane here which he flew on barnstorming trips. He was president of the Weeks Aircraft Corp. in Milwaukee for many years and the Weeks Aircraft Co. in Charlotte, North Carolina after leaving there.
He and Mrs. Weeks, the former Ada Haukole of Eagle Grove and their daughter Peggy Jane have resided in Los Angeles, Calif for many years and have entertained many Eagle Grove visitors in their home. Mr. Weeks was a brother of Mrs. Theo. Koltvet of Holmes. No information has been received regarding the funeral plans.
