August 20, 1945 ---- March 30, 2016

Victoria (Vicki) Quigley, age 70, of Belmond passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at the Iowa Specialty Hospital of Belmond after a graceful and courageous battle with cancer. A Mass of Christian Burial for Victoria Quigley will be held Monday April 4, 2016 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Belmond. Father Jerry Blake will officiate. Burial will take place in the St. Francis Cemetery near Belmond. Visitation for Victoria will be from 2:00 – 5:00 P.M. Sunday April 3, 2016 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Belmond and will continue one hour prior to services on Monday. A Parish Rosary will be recited at 1:45 P.M. Sunday afternoon at the church. In lieu of flowers family wishes memorials may be made in Victoria Quigley’s name directed to Belmond-Klemme Scholarship II, Wright County Public Health, Belmond Public Library Friends and/or Belmond Hospital Foundation. Dugger Funeral Home 111 Luick’s Lane South in Belmond is in charge of arrangements.

Victoria Jean, daughter of Fred and Phyllis Packard Pals, was born on August 20, 1945 in Belmond. Vicki grew up in Belmond. In 1963, she graduated from Belmond High School. After graduating high school, Vicki attended Iowa State Teachers College and NIACC. After going to college, Vicki moved to Minneapolis and worked for Cargill. On January 30, 1969, Vicki was united into marriage with Frank Quigley at Holy Family Catholic Church. They made their home in Minneapolis for a couple of years before moving back to Belmond. The couple was blessed with three children: Joell, Ross, and Jerilyn. Vicki was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

Vicki not only co-owned and worked at the P&G Market for many years, but loved to serve as your shopping assistant, meal planner, and recipe adviser. She greeted everyone with a big smile and a warm welcome, her infectious laugh brightened many days. She loved to host family gatherings at their home. She loved having a full house. She was an avid sports fan and loved watching her children and grandchildren in all their activities. Vicki enjoyed being a part of the Red Hat Ladies and her many different coffee groups.

Vicki is survived by her husband Frank Quigley of Belmond, children Joell Quigley and son Xavier of Ankeny, Ross (Amy) Quigley and daughter Eliza and son Reid of Urbandale, Jerilyn (Boone) Oshel and daughters Shaeli Jean and Nyla of Ankeny, brother Dean Pals and numerous other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and in-laws.
