Mrs. Glenn Williams Rites Sunday
Funeral services for Mrs. Glenn Williams, 73, were held Sunday afternoon in the United Methodist Church. The pastor, Rev. Donald Forbes officiated assisted by Rev. Clarence Tompkins of Friendship Haven, and burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Williams died Wednesday evening Nov. 3 at Friendship Haven Health Center, Fort Dodge. She had been ill about three years and was hospitalized for many months during her surgery and convalescence. For the past seventeen months
she was a patient in the Health Center at Friendship Haven.

Mrs. Williams is survived by her husband, two daughters and one son, Mrs. Walter Timms of Macomb, Ill.; Mrs. Robert Kist, Clayton, Mo.; and Dr. Richard Williams of Moline, Ill.; 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, one sister Mrs. Harold Newbrough and one brother Carl Moser of Eagle Grove. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Moser, and moved here with her parents when a small child to a farm in Troy township. It was there she was married to Glenn Williams on Feb. 5, 1919 and they farmed in Troy township until 1947 when they moved to their home at 301 S. Cadwell Ave. She was an active member of the United Methodist Church.

Ursula Catherine Williams, daughter of Joseph and Mary Streid Moser, was born in McLean County, Illinois, July 18, 1898. As a child, she moved to Iowa with her family and settled on a farm southwest of Eagle Grove, where she attended the Troy township schools. On February 5, 1919 she was united in marriage to Glenn Williams at the Moser farm home. To this union two daughters and one son were born. The family continued to live on the farm until 1947 when they moved into town to their present home. Ursula was an active member of the United Methodist Church until her health failed her. She had been hospitalized several times in recent years and the past seventeen months had resided in Friendship Haven Health Center, Fort Dodge where she died Wednesday evening, November 3. She was 73 years, 3 months and 15 days of age at the time of her passing.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, R. W. Moser. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, Glenn; 2 daughters: (Maryella) Mrs. Walter Timms of Macomb, Illinois; (Bernadine) Mrs. Robert Kist of Clayton, Missouri; one son, Dr. Richard Williams of Moline, Illinois; 8 grandchildren; two great-grand daughters; 1 brother, Carl Moser and 1 sister, Mrs. Harold Newbrough, both of Eagle Grove.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday November 7th in the United Methodist Church, Eagle Grove with Rev. Donald L. Forbes officiating, assisted by Rev. Clarence Tompkins of Friendship Haven, Fort Dodge. Interment was in the family lot, Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove.
