November 27, 1899 ---- June 16, 1963

Lillian Ackerman, daughter of Elizabeth and George Nelson, was born Nov. 27, 1899 at Eagle Grove where she spent most of her life. She attended the public schools in Eagle Grove. She was united in marriage in 1918 to George Moore of Eagle Grove and of this union, two children were born: Robert N. and Beulah M. In 1925 she was united in marriage to August Ackerman to which union were born three children: Franklin C, Arie W., and Edmund P. During the past several years she wintered with her daughter, Arie in LaJunta, Colo., and Phoenix, Ariz. She was a devoted wife and mother. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, the Eagle Grove Full Gospel Assembly. Mrs. Ackerman was very active in the Missionary Society of the church. After a lingering illness of several years duration she died June 18 in Phoenix where she was residing with her daughter. Her survivors include: her husband, August C. Ackerman (who died the day after her funeral in Veteran's Hospital, Omaha), three sons: Robert N. of Omaha; Franklin C. of Omaha; Rev. Edmund P. of Canton, Ohio; two daughters: Mrs. Ernest Breitkreutz of Hector, Minn.; and Miss Arie W. Ackerman of Phoenix; 12 grandchildren and one brother David W. Nelson of Wisconsin Dells, Wis.; and one sister, Mrs. Vinney Shippey of Maywood, Ill. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in the Full Gospel Assembly in charge of Rev. Edmund Ackerman assisted by the pastor Rev. Felton. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
