July 20, 1890 ---- June 25, 1963

Carl Ackerman, 72, died Tuesday morning in the Veterans hospital, Omaha where he had been a patient for 11 days following a stroke. His wife Lillian died last week and her funeral was the afternoon before his death. He was a former employee of the Chicago and North Western R.R. and was a retired engineer.

He is survived by two daughters, Miss Arie Ackerman of Phoenix, Ariz.; Mrs. Ernest Breitkreutz of Hector, Minn.; Rev. Edmund Ackerman of Canton, O.; Robert N. and Frank C. of Omaha also 12 grandchildren and one brother C. P. Ackerman of Council Bluffs. Mr. Ackerman was born July 20, 1890, in Danzig, Germany, to parents Mr. and Mrs. Lewis A. Ackerman. He was a veteran of World War I. Funeral services will be this (Thursday) afternoon at 2:00 in the Full Gospel Mission. The Rev. Edmund Ackerman will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
