Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. today (Thursday) for Virgil McLain Wilson, 62, at the Wilson Funeral Home. Pastor Marvin Dooley will officiate at the rites and burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Mr. Wilson died Monday at Lake View Hospital, Lake Elsinore, Calif. He is survived by his wife and two children at home, John and Michael, and two daughters by a previous marriage, Marilyn Miller of Glendale, Calif, and Joyce Veazey of LaMirada, Calif., his father, Knute Wilson of Eagle Grove and one sister Lorene Stover of Kansas City, Kansas.

Mr. Wilson was born in Whittemore and attended schools in Vincent, Webster City and Fort Dodge and received an engineering degree in California. On July 6, 1966 he was married to Mattie Lino in Western Samoa, South Pacific. He was an engineer and worked in the Support Unit in Vietnam from 1968 to 1969. He was a member of the Bahai religion.
