Funeral For Mrs. Shippey Set Friday

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 29 [1966], at 3:00 p.m., in the McColley Funeral Chapel for Mrs. Vinnie Shippey, who passed away Monday, July 25 [1966], at a rest home in Rapid City. Rev. Donald Scheuer will officiate. Burial will be in the Custer Cemetery. Mrs. Vinine [sic] Shippey was born Nov. 21, 1891 at Eagle Grove, Iowa where she lived most of her life prior to coming to Custer to make her home with her daughter, Mrs. Inez Summers. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Grace Wright of Jackson, Mich.; Clydean Benz of Tindley Park, Ill.; Inez Summers of Custer; one brother, Dave Nelson of Wisconsin Dells, Wisc.; and six grandchildren.
