The death of Mrs. Roy Mitchell last Saturday morning was a shock to our community. Death was due to apoplexy and she was found dead in bed. Mrs. Mitchell had resided in Sutherland most of her life, coming here when she was nine years old.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. F. L. Van Voorhis at the Church of Christ Tuesday afternoon, at 2:30 and the body was laid to rest in Waterman cemetery. Funeral arrangements carried out were made by Mrs. Mitchell before her death. A mixed quartet composed of Herman Behmer, George Waggoner, Miss Beulah Wilson and Miss Doris Fredenburg sang "Looking This Way", "Asleep in Jesus" and "Shall We Meet Beyond the River." Accompaniment was played by Mrs. P. A. Millard. The sermon was taken from the 63rd Psalm
