Susan Moos was born on September 14, 1904 at Granville, Iowa, the daughter of Peter and Margaret Moos. She attended school and grew to womanhood there. On October 1, 1923, Susan was united in marriage to Felix A. Halverson of Thompson at Eagle Grove. They settled in Thompson and remained there until 1926 when they moved to a farm near Titonka. In 1930 they returned to Thompson where her husband went into the carpenter business. Felix died on December 17, 1970 at the age of 69. Susan and Felix had one daughter, Phyllis.

Mrs. Halverson died suddenly Saturday afternoon at her home, death being caused by a cerebral hemmorhage. Susan is survived by her daughter, Phyllis (Henry) Bunting of Palmer, two grandchildren, Marcia Keil of Ames and Weston Keil; two brothers, Henry Moos of Granville and Nicholas Moos of Waterloo; one sister, Mrs. Nick Maharras of Davenport and many friends.
