May 27, 1874 ---- May 7, 1944

William Henry Bunker, son of George and Evelyn Bunker was born May 27, 1874 in Scott county, Iowa, and departed this life May 7, 1944 at Millersburg, Iowa at the age of 69 years, 11 months and 10 days. He was united in marriage April 25, 1930 to Miss Mattie Simmons, of Clarion, Iowa. The home was established three miles west of Millersburg, where he was living at the time of his death. Two sisters and one brother preceded him in death. Surviving are his wife, one brother, nieces and nephews, a host of relatives and friends.

The deceased was simple in his taste. He sought no honors, he was loyalty itself to what he believed was right. He was admired by all for his industry, honesty and outstanding character. His citizenship was of the highest type, he was a kind, thoughtful and loving husband and will be missed by those he so dearly loved. To the bereaved wife and other relatives the tenderest condolences are offered.

Wm Bunker Dies Suddenly Sunday. William Bunker, 70, residing near Millersburg died suddenly Sunday as he stepped from his car after he and his wife had driven to town from their farm four miles west of Millersburg. Mr. Bunker spent most of his life farming. He is survived by his wife and several nieces and nephews.
