Robert W. Thompson, 90, of Silverdale [Washington] died May 21, 2001, at Port Orchard Care Center. He was born March 18, 1911, in Hardy, Iowa, to Adolph and Luella (Olden) Thompson. He graduated from Renwick High School in Renwick, Iowa. He was a staff sergeant in the Army from 1941 to 1945. He married Evelyn Lundberg on Sept. 20, 1947. She preceded him in death this year. He worked for Seattle Transit. Survivors include a brother, Charles of Eagle Grove, Iowa; and a sister, Ruth Gardner of Mukilteo. Cremation is by Cherry Grove Crematory. Arrangements are under the direction of The Poulsbo Mortuary, The Stone Chapel.
