Amy G. Wilson, 85, of Pomona passed away April 23, 2003, at Mt. San Antonio Gardens, Pomona. Mrs. Wilson was born Aug. 17, 1917, in Hardy, Iowa and has been a Pomona Valley resident for the past 78 years. She attended Pomona Grammar School, graduated from Chaffey College, and went on to earn her nursing degree at Huntington Memorial Hospital, Pasadena. She worked as a registered nurse for the Hillcrest Homes of La Verne for 30 years, and after her retirement, she enjoyed sewing and shopping was was an avid reader. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Pomona. Surviving is her daughter, Bonnie Morgan of Desert Hot Springs; son, Lawrence Allen Beck of Bullhead City, Ariz.; two grandchildren; and her brother, Ernest William Jordan of Oregon. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, at Todd Memorial Chapel, Pomona. Private interment will be made in Pomona Valley Memorial Park, Pomona. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Homeship Fund of Mt. San Antonio Gardens, 900 E. Harrison, Pomona, CA 91767. Todd Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
