BETTENDORF -- Memorial services for Evelyn M. Amble, Bettendorf, will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Luther Knoll, Bettendorf. The body was donated to the University of Iowa, Department of Anatomy. Mrs. Amble died Monday, June 5, 2000, at the home of her daughter. She was employed eight years as a case worker with the Iowa Department of Social Services. She retired in 1978. More recently, she was employed as a librarian and activities director at Luther Knoll, Bettendorf. She was born Aug. 21, 1922, in Spencer, Iowa. Memorials may be made to Genesis Hospice Program or St. James Lutheran Church, Bettendorf. Survivors include a daughter, Angie Hammond, Davenport; sons, Steven, of Pennsylvania, and Gary, Milan, Ill.; five grandchildren; sisters, Mabel Dodd, San Luis Obispo, Calif., and Lillie Manahl, Waterloo, Iowa; and brother, Dale Hansen, Waterloo.
