Mrs. Caroline B. Cassel Dies at Daughter's Home; Rites Tuesday

Mrs. Caroline B. Cassel, 53, died Sunday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. G. B. Shaver, 621 Van Buren Avenue Southwest [Mason City, Iowa]. She was born Dec. 15, 1887, at Woolstock. Her husband, John W Cassel, preceded her in death in 1934. She was a member of the Methodist church at Thompson. She is survived in addition to Mrs Shaver by two daughters, Mrs. Henry Sletten, Swaledale, and Mrs. William Lawhorn, Milwaukee; three sons, Garwood, Stanley, and Fred, all of Milwaukee; a sister, Mrs. Clyde Tracy, Fort Dodge; a brother, Frank Carpenter, Latimer; and 15 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in the Major Memorial Chapel with the Rev. O. L. N. Wigdahl, pastor of Trinity Lutheran church, officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery [Mason City, Iowa].
