Anna Genora Williams, age 100, of Colfax, died peacefully Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at her daughter's home in Urbandale. Funeral services for Genora will be held on Friday, September 29, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Colfax with burial following at Colfax Cemetery. Visitation for Genora will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2006 at Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. with the family present to greet friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Memorials may be given to First Baptist Church of Colfax.

The daughter of Nels and Dorthea (Olson) Norem, Genora was born on December 20, 1905 in Hardy, Iowa. Genora was united in marriage with Gomer Williams on June 20, 1932 in Galena, Illinois. Genora spent her life as a devoted wife and mother. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Colfax. Those left to honor her memory are her daughter Bonnie Hoogenakker and her husband Jay of Urbandale and her daughter-in-law Vondalee Williams of Colfax. Those also left to honor her memory are her grandchildren Kevin, Karl, Vana, Alan, and GraceAnn, and her great-grandchildren Seth, Sean, Shannon, Jessica, Anna, Rebecca, Jacob, Danae, Danielle, Ashley, Bethany, Allea, Hannah, Jay, and Elizabeth. Genora was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gomer, and son Walter.
