Florence Caquelin, 99, Eagle Grove, died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2002 at the Rotary Ann North in Eagle Grove. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Foster Funeral Home with Pastor Gerald Caquelin officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will one hour before the services.

Florence Violetta Dewey, daughter of Arthur and Edith Spangler Dewey, was born Jun 4, 1902 at Woolstock. She received her education in the Woolstock Public School. On Dec. 28, 1918, she married Orace Newman Riley at Woolstock. They resided at Woolstock. Mr. Riley died Dec 31, 1949. On Nov. 29, 1952, she married Alvin (Buster) Caquelin at South Dakota. They resided in Woolstock. They moved to the Rotary Ann South in January in 1998. Mr. Caquelin died March 17, 1999. She was a homemaker.

Survivors are her grandchildren, Brian Riley of Dallas, Texas; Sheila Berg of Minneapolis, Minn.; great-grandchildren, Brianne, Betsy, and Brooke Riley and Tara Finnigan; step-son and step-daughter-in-law, Glen and Ione Caquelin of Duncombe; step-grandchildren, Linda Engleman, Steven Caquelin, Glenda Smith, Dixie Filmer,; 16 great-grandchildren; nieces, Mabel Bohy and Bertha Loux, both of Eagle Grove. In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by son, Franklin Dewey Riley; brothers, Frank and Vern Dewey; sister Vera Wilcox. She was a member of the Woolstock United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and Ban De La Roche.
