Mrs. Margaret Campbell

Margaret Sweeney was born in Ireland in 1833, and died at Corwith on October 7th, 1927 at the age of ninety-three years. She was united in marriage to Wm. Campbell in 1854 and to this union five children were born. Mr. and Mrs. Campbell with their boys came to America in and settled in Cedar County, Iowa. The two girls were married and stayed in Ireland; In 1888 the family moved to a farm near Renwick, in the fall of 1898 they moved to the town of Renwick where they lived until Mr. Campbell's death in 1905. Since then Mrs. Campbell has made her home with her son Charles at Corwith. leaves to mourn her passing: Two sons, Henry of Ossetia, Minn., and Charles of Corwith; and one daughter, Ellen Jane in Ireland; besides twenty grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren. The funeral was held at Corwith last Sunday and the remains were brought to Renwick where burial was made at Vernon cemetery.

DIED AT CORWITH AT EXTREME AGE - THE RENWICK NEWS

RENWICK, Iowa, Oct. 10 — Henry Campbell of Milica, Minn., and Mrs. Leslie Barber and children of Elkton, Minn., attended the funeral on Sunday of Mrs. Margaret Campbell of Corwith, the latter's death occurred on Friday, Oct. 7, at the home of her son Charles near Corwith. Mrs. Campbell had been sick only a few days when death due to her age of almost 93 years took her to her home beyond. Margaret Campbell was born in Scotland and spent her early days there. Mr. and Mrs. William Campbell were residents of Renwick some twenty-three years ago, when in 1904 Mr. Campbell passed away, since that time Mrs. Campbell made her home with her son Charles who then lived west of town. Funeral services were held from the Baptist church at Corwith on Sunday and the remains brought to the Vernon cemetery for burial beside those of her husband.
