April 10, 1878 --- June 25, 1905

While not altogether unexpected by the immediate relatives in this city, the death of Mrs. Geo. D. Srigley was received with surprise and sorrow by her many friends here. She had been in poor health for the past year, but no serious results were anticipated until recently, when a thorough diagnosis developed an acute case of diabetes, for which medical science could find no relief, and she died at the parental P. M. Laux home Sunday evening, June 25.

Emma Grace Laux was born in Wever, Utah, on the 10th day of April, 1878, making her twenty-seven years, three months and fifteen days old. With her parents she moved from Sioux City to Eagle Grove in 1889, where she formed an unusually large acquaintance and leaves a vast number of warm friends to mourn her untimely demise.

In 1892 she was married to Geo. D. Srigley in this city and lived here until about a year ago when they took up residence in Des Moines. She was baptized into the Episcopal faith some years ago and has been a consistent member of that church ever since. She was also a member of the local Yeoman lodge.

Episcopal services will be held over the remains at the M. E. church, Tuesday afternoon at 2:30, Rev. N. F. Douglas officiating. Interment will be made in Rose Hill cemetery.
