Wanda Rae Darland of La Pine [Oregon] passed away on Friday, October 9, 2015 at the age of 77.

Wanda was born on October 16, 1937, in Eagle Grove, Iowa to Wallace and Lorena (Stafford) Larson. There she grew up with her sister, and then graduated from Eagle Grove High School. In September 8, 1973 she married Robert "Bob" Dean Darland in Goldfield, Iowa. The Darland family settled in Oregon, first ten years in the Tillamook area, and then for over 30 years in Central Oregon.

Wanda worked for the Federal Agency, COCOA, as a printer for the Tillamook Public Schools, and then as a Nutrition Aid at the Bend Senior Center. In her spare time she enjoyed reading, gardening and needlepoint. She was especially fond of her well fed and loved Beagles, Robbie and Toby.

Wanda is survived by her husband of 42 years; daughter Susan (husband, Steve) Stengel of Morrison, CO; three sons Jeff (wife, Mamie) Allen of Weiser, ID, Todd (wife, Sophia) Allen of Tigard, OR, Lance (wife, Kellie) Bohy of Lake Stevens, WA; sister Sherry "Shay" Jensen of Granite Falls, WA; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother-in-law, Kurt Jensen.
